Our Hamilton exhibition “Nature’s Bounty” was opened by Keith Donnelly, a local Arts Development Officers, at a most enjoyable preview, which was attended by members and friends from far and wide.
The works on display attracted some very favourable comments, as did the exhibition space itself.
The variety of subject matter, the quality and detailed study of leaf and flower, fungi, fruit, and seeds all contributed to the overall excellence of the exhibition. The skill with which the artists applied the paint and observed the detail of the plants was the subject of much admiration.
Visitors came from as far afield as Cumbria, Edinburgh, Fife and Stirling and seemed to enjoy chatting to the artists in residence – in all it was a most successful show.
