Currently these are available at the McHattie Building at Saughton Park Gardens in Edinburgh (Tuesday and Wednesday) and at the Denny Library near Falkirk (Thursday). A café and free parking facilities are available at both venues.
Both operate on a three term a year basis of between 11 and 13 weeks. Fees are dependant upon membership status. “Full Members” and “Students” who are on a recognised full time botanical painting course pay less than a “Friend”.
Bookings may be made for an entire term or only certain days in that term. Places are limited and there is no guarantee that you will be able to obtain a place on the day/place you want.
Please note that Painting Days are not teaching sessions. There is a library atmosphere where participants work quietly on their own projects. Everyone gets together around midday for a quick lunch and a chat. Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided.
- Please select the venue/date/time you wish to attend from the list provided below.
- You will receive a confirmation email detailing your request.
- You will receive an email from the relevant organiser advising you if there is space for you to join the session(s) selected.
- You will also be provided with the amount you will need to pay along with the relevant bank details”
- Please also note that you MUST be a Member of the SSBA to take advantage of these opportunities, so if you are not already a member, then please use the Membership link to join”.
