I am a graphic designer to trade, offering print and web design from my studio in Aberfeldy since 2002.

I am a keen gardener and after seeing an RHS exhibition at Gardening Scotland in 2019 and wanted to find out more and learn to paint things that grow in my own garden, I gained a place on the RBGE Certificate in Botanical Illustration having never used watercolour before, what a challenge, and in 2020 I was surprised to be awarded a Distinction. To follow up on this I then attended the RBGE Advanced Certificate course in 2023 and was awarded another Distinction. I love to practice in my studio. I am very much a beginner but enjoy spending time looking at and painting plants, I hope to study the RBGE Diploma course when the attended class is offered again, meanwhile I’ll keep practicing.
