In 2010 after completing a 2 year course with the Society of Botanical Artists, successfully achieved their diploma with distinction. In the following years have held 4 solo exhibitions, exhibited with the Dumfries & Galloway Fine Arts Society, the SSBA and completed a 6 month course on botany with the RBGE.
Although the SBA course was in watercolour I moved to using coloured pencil and now the main of my botanical works are in graphite. I have also started to explore using embroidery for botanical works. I am also interested in the beginning of plant life, paleobotany and the interwoven usage of plants in funerary belief system.
